Technical programme: Back in Dubai, the designers must develop their proposals. A production consultant from Barcelona supports and guides the designers through weekly online follow up sessions. At the end of the programme, designers must submit their proposals online; the proposals must meet certain standards, such as adherence to a certain format, maintenance of high quality in their work, and keeping within a suggested budget. In order to achieve this, they use a “Production Process Template” that is presented to them and fully explained beforehand.
Prototype supervision: Professionals from the design industry monitor participants, providing evaluations and critiques of the proposals to be produced. In addition, the international production manager visits Dubai to evaluate the works.
Final production: Prototyping and production must be completed in Dubai using local materials and production facilities.
Promotion Programme: The final pieces are exhibited in a special booth during Dubai Design Days, the leading design fair in the Middle East.
